Anna Freifeld Lemkow was born in the Russian city of Saratov, was raised in western Canada, and now resides in New York City. She holds degrees from the Unviersity of Alberta, Edmonton, and the New School for Social Research, New York. For many years, she worked at the United Nations, in the field of economic and social development. Over the past two decades, she has explored unitive or esoteric philosophy and its application to scientific and other knowledge and to world affairs. She was a speaker at the 1993 Parliament of the World's Religions and has been featured on the television program "Thinking Allowed."
